The following herbs had very specific ways of being used so I added that information here:
Angelica | Sprinkle around ritual area or bedroom to ward off evil. |
Basil | Soak 1 tsp in water overnight. Sprinkle around to drive away evil. |
Black Cohosh | Soak 1 tsp in 1 pint of water overnight. Sprinkle it in your magickal circle to keep unwanted spirits away. |
Elm | Sprinkle leaves around ritual area. |
Mandrake | Place whole root under altar (good during spell attack). |
Mistletoe | Hang in ritual area or in the area under attack. Can also be warn to help protect during an attack. |
Blood Root | Carry in a small bag for protection. Place in doorways and windows to protect the house. |
Devil’s Shoestring | Place in a red bag and hang over the bed. |
Five Finger’s Grass | Hang over the bed to ward off evil. |
Sea Salt | Sprinkle around ritual circle for protection. |
Bay Leaf | Carry for protection. Place one leaf in each corner of a room that needs protection. |
Blueberry Herb | Sprinkle under door mat to keep those whom you dislike from staying long. |
Feverfew | Carry in a small red bag for protection. |
Master of the Woods | Carry in a bag for protection. |
Blueberry | Burn to keep unwanted influences away from you and your home. |
Copal | Sacred to the Mayans & Aztecs. Burn to cleanse away negativity. |
Frankincense | Burn to remove unwanted influences. |
Myrrh | Burn for protection. |
Pine | Burn to reverse and return negative energy. |
Sandalwood | Burn for protection. |
Fennel | Dip a bundle of fresh fennel into water. Use it to sprinkle the water around your home for protection. |
