Enmešarra: Enmešarra is
the god connected with the underworld. The suššuru (a type of pigeon)
was associated with him. Seven (or sometimes eight) minor deities were
regarded as his children.
In an incantation Enmešarra
and Ninmešarra, his female counterpart, are described as ancestors of the
god Enlil, and they were apparently regarded as primeval deities. (r)
