Ra: Father of the Gods

This meditation will take you up to the point of meeting Ra.  He may or may not speak to you.  Do not be discouraged, it merely means that you are not ready.  You will most likely be addressed by someone else if he chooses not to speak to you.  From that point you are in control.  As a warning, be sure to introduce yourself before you begin speaking.  Also, do not call upon this or any other spiritual entity unless you have a specific need.  Just the desire to say 'hello' isn't a need, use common sense.  When you wish to return, simply allow the scene to dissipate and slowly come back.

Find a comfortable place and relax.  Take several slow, deep breaths.  All the stresses and anxieties to flow down your body and out through your feet.  When you are completely relaxed, visualize yourself in a long, narrow wooden boat.  The boat is separated by a narrow aisle that runs down the center.  You are seated just to the left of the aisle, near the back.  You look to the sides and see that this boat is surrounded by stars but it is not in water.  It seems to floating in space. Strangely, you feel very safe.  There are many other passengers aboard.  Most of the people are wearing white robes.  You look to the head of the boat and see a beautiful and graceful man.  He has dark skin and eyes and is wearing a large golden headdress.  You begin to wonder where you are and who he is when someone whispers that you are on the Boat of the Millions of Years and it is non other than the mighty Ra, Father of the Gods at the head.  You turn to see who is speaking and find the most beautiful woman smiling gently at you.  "Why don't you move to the front, perhaps he will speak to you" she says.  You decide to take her advice.  You stand up and make your way to the front.  You can feel the boat sway gently as you move.  There is an empty seat to the right of the aisle.  Ra does not seem to see you as you take your seat.  You are mesmerized by the immense beauty of this man.  You are filled with a tremendous feeling of awe.  You sit quietly and wait for the mighty Ra to address you......
