LILITH: Lilith is a female DEMON from
Jewish, Christian, and Islamic folklore. In Muslim legend, she is the
wife of the Islamic IBLIS, ruler of hell, and mother of all demons. In
stories from Jewish and Christian tradition, Lilith is the first wife of
Adam who rejects her husband and chooses to copulate with SATAN instead.
Now a queen of evil and darkness, Lilith prowls the night searching for
children to devour. She is described in Isaiah as a "screech owl" who
incurs "the Lord's divine fury."
Lilith also seeks to bring souls to hell
by seducing men as they sleep. She is a SUCCUBUS who is aided in her
diabolical work by an army of female fiends. Men who fall into her
charms face certain damnation unless they repent this sin and perform
purifying rituals.
The film NIGHT ANGEL offers Lilith as a
dark beauty risen from the underworld to seek the ruin of human souls.
She takes on intended victim on a fascinating, yet grotesque, tour of hell
in hopes of winning his allegiance. (o)
