Shaitan
Other Names / Variants: Satan, Chaytan?

Shaitan - One of the fallen angels in Arabic lore.  Shaitan is a cognate term for Iblis (q.v.).  In the Koran, sura 27, 24, Shaitan (Satan) induces the Queen of Sheba and her people to adore the sun instead of Allah.  (a)
