Incense Correspondences

 

When using incense in spellwork or ritual, the best scent is one that your intuition tells you to use.  If you are at a loss then this basic guide can help you choose a scent that best serves your purpose.  The guide below is basic and covers only the most common scents. If you have a specific goal in mind visit that section within the Grimoire, the incense lists provided for each topic is more complete than this chart.

Bayberry Burn to bring wealth and luck
Blueberry Burn to keep unwanted influences away from you and your home
Cinnamon An incense for success, healing and money drawing
Copal Sacred to the Mayans and Aztecs. Burn to cleanse away negativity
Frankincense Draw upon the energy of the sun to create sacred space, consecrate objects, improve vibrations, and remove unwanted influences
Honeysuckle Burn for good health, prosperity, good fortune, and psychic power.
Jasmine For luck in general, especially for matters relating to love or money; use at bedtime for prophetic dreams.
Musk For courage and vitality, can also be used to excite passionate love, promote sexual attraction and intense desire.
Myrrh For protection, healing, spirituality, and purification.
Patchouli an earthy scent used in money and prosperity spells, also used for attraction and fertility.
Pine Burn for strength and vitality, to reverse and return negative energy, and to keep illness away.
Rose For love and/ or to enhance any love magick, to reduce personal stress and restore calm to your home.
Sandalwood An all-purpose scent, often used for protection and healing, and for granting wishes
Spice A fiery multi-purpose formula that can be catalyzed for success, luck, love, protection and healing
Strawberry For love, luck and friendship
Vanilla This scent is reputed to stimulate amorous appetites, restore lost energy and jog your memory
