Leaf: .75" 4-sided bluish needles; more dense on upper surface; stiff, prickly
Flower/Fruit: 4" light brown to chestnut brown cones
Comments: Dark brown bark flaking into lighter brown scales. 
This conifer tree originates from western China, but is found in parks and gardens around the world
